Dual Platform Capability Translator™ was also the first to offer translations on the Macintosh platform, releasing their Mac version in May 2002. It offered full scale EXS-24 translations, along with sample auditioning, viewing of disk contents, and more. Never was this really available before on the Macintosh. The Macintosh uses a brand new interface coding structure, while providing the same hooks for the PC code, so adaptation is seamless. The PC and Mac version share 85% of the same code. Work is progressing to make the Mac and PC version identical in function. The Mac version uniquely offers WAVE mapping, bulk DOS disk translating, auto-mounting, and Kurzweil and Ensoniq support. It can translate to EXS-24, SampleCell, WAV, AIFF, and other formats. It supports as source formats Akai, Roland, EMu, Kurzweil, Ensoniq, Giga, SoundFont, MESA, and SampleCell. ![]() |
