Akai Looping Boundary Requirements
Although it is not documented, and you can not see it on the displays, all Akai samplers only loop end on specific numerical boundaries. The S-1000 series on loops on multiples of 64, the S-3000 series on multiples of 16, and the S-5000 of multiples of 8.
In other words, on a Akai S1000, if the Loop Marker is 54283, the Akai will actually loop on 54272, the lesser multiple of 64, even though the display may not say so.
When translating from other formats into Akai/Pulsar/MESA format, Translator automatically compensates for the situation by shifting the sample upward, adding information at the start of the sample, and incrementing the Sample Start parameter.
